Putting on our critical thinking hats, however, why do we need to pay Pearson to ask these obvious kinds of questions? The teaching talent on site, the education professional in the room, could easily make up even better smarter balanced assessments. We need to dignify education professionals and teaching profession by empowering them to do their job. 90% of teacher talent could easily come up with as good if not better questions for their students to think about.
