I don’t understand why she bothers to run again. At almost every school board meeting she acts disengaged, angry or bored. She should just follow Nury’s lead and go for the office she really wants – on the city council – and just leave LAUSD alone. Her support of Deasy and the iPad purchase (and her disgusting interference with Bond Oversight Committee member Stuart Magruder when he had the audacity to do his job and cry foul about it) should be enough to let constituents know that she makes bad decisions and is not on the side of parents and families…

Tamar Galatzan told the L.A. School Report that she prefers “some sort of [mayor-] appointed board” to one that is democratically elected. The mayor’s endorsement is not surprising.
