KIPP is charter chain spearhead for corporate takeover of American public schools. KIPP is funded by who’s who of American capitalist pirates whose deepest collective economic wish is to privatize and monetize America’s children as part of corporate conglomerate financial asset portfolios. KIPP schools recieved $20 million from Walton Foundation to “Walmartize” our public schools. KIPP schools crush local school democratic control, KIPP schools have 40% student attrition rate, KIPP schools are discriminatory “colonizers” of local public schools, KIPP schools keep kids in “padded cells” for misbehavior, KIPP schools are one-dimensional test-taking “factories”, KIPP schools are exploitative teacher “sweatshops,” KIPP founder Richard Barth is married to TFA founder Wendy Kopp (cozy), KIPP schools believe poor kids don’t have “grit,” KIPP schools “denuded” Newark USD, and KIPP’s own students call it “Kids In Prison Program.” Hey, LAUSD school board, tell stakeholders about KIPP’s “SLANT” practices. In reply to Michael Sturdevant. I agree. The students will NOT receive an improved quality of education. The charter schools, however, will have higher test scores, not because of (and maybe even in spite of) the teachers and charter school program, but because of a greater emphasis on education and schooling from the parents.

In reply to Pleb SPQR. That's an excellent point, but you're assuming the charter school is going to give them an improved quality of education, which I reject. They'll be taught more to the test, that's it.

Great news for those that want to re-segregate public schools. Perhaps, the segregation is not exactly on racial classification, but it is absolutely segregation based on quality of parenting.

Isn’t that the charter with the 40% attrition rate of students which is really why it is “high performing?” And what is the attrition rate of teachers? From what I have heard, they burn out fast.
